BLUE SPRINGS. This fun, educational nature stop offers a look at Missouri fish, forestry, and wildlife. The site is managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation, and its excellent hiking trails are favorites with local outdoor enthusiasts. From the Bethany Falls Trail to the Wildlife Habitat Trail, there are plenty of opportunities to explore Burr Oak Woods and its splendid geography.

DOWNTOWN. This beautiful park is a great spot for nature lovers. Aside from being a perfect stop for an afternoon picnic or as part of a walking tour, Swope also features a challenging 18-hole disc (as in "Frisbee") golf course. A visit to beautiful Starlight Theatre (an impressive amphitheater that hosts musical and fine arts performances throughout the year) is a must. Swope Park is also home to the Kansas City Zoological Park and an IMAX theater.
